Inka est une auteure de jeux de société allemande qui crée des jeux avec son mari Markus Brand, lui aussi auteur.

Ils vivent avec leur deux enfants Lukas et Emely à Gummersbach, près de Cologne et ils passent leur temps libre à inventer des jeux depuis 1999.

Ils collectionnent également les jeux de société car ils sont tous les deux passionnés depuis leur enfance. Leur ludothèque dépasse les 3700 jeux.

Ils sont à l'origine de beaucoup de titres classiques comme toute la gamme des escapes games : Exit, ou Rajas of the Gange
